Dear Parent/Guardian

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the School Director of Great Oaks Legacy Downtown Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year.  The vision of Great Oaks Legacy Charter School is to prepare its students for success in college.  I am elated to continue bringing my skills as an educational leader to our school and working with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success and fulfill our vision at Great Oaks Legacy.

Along with a dedicated team of educators, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.  We will focus on fostering a nurturing, safe environment for students, use of data in order to differentiate instruction, and provide exciting, rigorous enrichment opportunities for all students.

GOLCS wants our school to be a place to experience the excitement of learning – a place where the students, parents and school team form a partnership. Working together, there is no limit to what your child can achieve.

I anticipate a very successful year as my team and I support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child here at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School.  Please be sure to read the handbook carefully.  This handbook, written for students and families, will explain “The Why” and “The How” of each of our expectations and guidelines for families.
